The Meadowsweet Journal was born out of the desire to capture and share stories of extraordinary individuals and the work they do, as well as my own personal experience as an artist in this world. As a photographer with a strong affinity for shooting analog, I knew my journey into journalism couldn’t be complete without showcasing my own photos rich with grain and vibrant hues.

The Meadowsweet Journal is independent journalism driven by thoughts and imagery written and photographed by me. Included in the seasonal publication are interviews of artists, farmers, ecopreneurs, and creatives of all kinds. Touches of seasonality are sprinkled throughout, such as plants and flowers in bloom, recipes inspired by the season, and curated art submissions from participating artists.

Volume 2, Issue 1 will officially be mailed off to paid subscribers within the Substack community on 3/18/26, and copies will be shared in cozy little nooks around the San Francisco Bay Area in time to honor the arrival of Spring.

The online version of The Meadowsweet Journal will always be free to view, but if you wish to participate in good old-fashioned snail mail and support my work, consider becoming a paid subscriber of The Meadowsweet Journal on Substack, which gives you access to more than just the journal, or you can just purchase a copy of the print on its own through our shop.

You will receive a 7” x 10” envelope in the mail addressed to you, adorned with Forever stamps.
