Client: Brianna Hamilton
Brianna Hamilton is an up-and-coming artist who specializes in acrylic, oil, tempera, and watercolor, and is most notable for creating in-store and window display installations for Anthropologie, the well-known womenβs retail shop.
Studio Mestiza photographed Brianna and her paintings, redesigned the overall look of her already existing site, designed her logo, and selected fonts and brand colors that capture the feeling of her brand.
It has been a fun challenge to tackle the separation of Brianna as a person/ artist and Brianna as a brand/ business, when both are deeply intertwined with one another. Many artists can relate to this dilemma of βpersonal brandingβ as it feels as though you are βselling yourselfβ since you are your business. Something as common as doing a job interview involves creating a compelling narrative of the work that you do and presenting the value you hold. Especially in this digital age, we all have, in some form or another, a personal brand advertising our credentials, such as a LinkedIn profile or social media account.
Helping Brianna develop her voice as an artist has informed the overall tone of her brand identity, which is something we will continue to develop as she finds her footing. Though there are many website iterations left until we reach a place that we are both satisfied with, websites are always evolving, and adjustments will be made as Briannaβs portfolio grows. That is why Studio Mestiza has agreed to do a website upkeep for a full year to allow for organic growth, instead of rushing to try and piece something together that still needs tending to. If you would like to support Brianna throughout this process and the collaborative work Studio Mestiza is doing to create her personal brand, take a minute to view her site and learn more about Brianna.
